WHO WE ARE
Joseph Larkin and Zac Basket are a filmmaking duo who met at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, bonding over weird movies and outsider humor. Their collaboration began when Joseph produced Zac’s junior thesis film Videomasters, and deepened with Danny Tucker: Kung Fu Master, Zac’s senior thesis film, which they co-wrote, with Zac directing and Joseph producing.
During the production of Danny Tucker, Joseph filmed extensive behind-the-scenes footage intended to become a feature-length documentary titled Like I Said. The project was ultimately lost after the footage was accidentally destroyed in a robot vacuum incident, an early lesson in creative impermanence.
After moving to Los Angeles, the two collaborated on Joseph’s directorial short Zoth and are currently in pre-production on their first feature film, Horsegurl. Their work is defined by dark humor, absurd writing, potent visuals, and reflections of modern life, with ambitions to follow in the tradition of filmmaker duos like the Coen Brothers or Safdie Brothers.
